The lovely and talented Kim over at Cookie Cutter Creations created these adorable Frozen cookies for my Lily’s sixth birthday! They are like little works of art but OH so yummy to eat!
We were able to chat a bit and learn about what inspires Kim and her cookie making.
How long have you been in business? “I’ve been in business for 4 years this summer.”
How did you get into cookie making? “What got me into baking? I was praying for a job that I could do from home and started following cookie artists-I became enthralled with their work and wanted to try it out. The first couple batches were a disaster…so I prayed some more and started watching You-Tube videos. My motto goes, “practice makes better”….and we’ve gotten lots of practice thanks to our sweet customers.”
What is your favorite cookie to make? “My favorite cookie to make is probably anything beach theme-I love the bright colors.”
What is your most memorable cookie order? “And last-my most memorable cookies….I have a few of those-the first ones were for a little boy whose dad is a police officer and was tragically killed while on duty-I made Batman cookies for that little super hero. Another favorite of mine was a pair of angel wings for the family of a sweet girl who tragically lost her life earlier this year. As I made those wings I prayed The Lord would wrap His loving arms around her family and friends. I hope I brought them a little joy in the midst of some much sorrow. And lastly I made a set of oval shape cookies-one had a favorite saying and the other had a bible verse. We gave these cookies to my mom’s best friend who is battling brain cancer. Each cookie is made with love and symbolizes something important to those enjoying our creations. I am very grateful that God led me into the cookie business.”
Do you have anything you are particularly looking forward to with your business? “I’m looking forward to making cookies for Posh Pak-a company that specializes in fun subscription boxes for young girls. They will be giving out logo cookies made by us to celebrities at a pre-party before the Emmy Awards later this month.”
That sure is exciting! Kim feels incredibly blessed by her sweet customers and loves to put a smile on people’s faces through her cookies!
Thanks again Kim for being so amazingly talented with your cookie making skills. We loved them!
